A personal sports illustration of a young Kobe Bryant, created in 2022 using a bold, modern-contemporary visual style.
The artwork reimagines Kobe through vibrant colors, expressive details, and modern organic shapes, creating a fresh and eye-catching interpretation of one of basketball’s most iconic figures. The composition combines portraiture with graphic elements, balancing the energy of basketball culture with a distinctive visual identity.
Through this piece, I explored how contemporary illustration can bring a new perspective to sports iconography while capturing the personality and lasting influence of an athlete who continues to inspire generations of basketball fans.
